Fairfield University Airport Shuttle and Transportation

Please allow plenty of time for unexpected traffic delays, airport check-in, security and COVID procedures. Estimated times are exactly that. Traffic is especially unpredictable getting into the airports and is beyond our control.

Reservations are required for all travel to the airports from Fairfield University and the surrounding area. The first Shared Service of the day starts in Fairfield around 4:25am and is estimated into La Guardia at approximately 5:45am, and JFK at approximately 6:15am. When available the last Shared Service usually departs from Fairfield approximately 5:25pm. When booking your reservation you will be provided an estimated pickup time. Please allow us up to 15 minutes after the estimated time to allow for other pickups in the area and possible unanticipated traffic delays. All our vehicles are tracked with GPS so you can contact us for an update if necessary.

Shared ride and private car service between Fairfield University and JFK or LaGuardia is commonly used by students, faculty, visiting families, and campus guests traveling from Fairfield and surrounding Fairfield County communities. Travelers should consider peak commuter traffic toward New York City, bridge congestion, and seasonal airport demand when selecting departure times.

Advance reservations are required for outbound airport travel to ensure vehicle availability and proper scheduling.

Reservations are strongly recommended due to limited capacity. Walk-ons are accepted based on availability. For service to Fairfield University and the surrounding area vehicles depart JFK approximately once per hour at random intervals from approximately 7:00AM until 9:00PM. Service from La Guardia Airport is from approximately 7:30AM until 9:30PM when available. Average waiting time for our Shuttle service is currently 30 to 40 minutes once “ready to go” at the Welcome Center. Wait time is not measured from Landing or Gate Arrival time. When possible anticipated schedule changes will be communicated the day before travel to the mobile phone or the email address provided for the traveling passenger(s).

Transportation from JFK and LaGuardia to Fairfield University serves students returning to campus, parents visiting for academic events, international travelers, and conference attendees. Shared ride service operates throughout the day based on availability, with private car service available for direct transportation.

Because Fairfield University experiences increased travel during move-in periods, academic breaks, and holiday weekends, reservations are strongly recommended.

Arrival coordination is important for students and visitors traveling from JFK or LaGuardia to Fairfield. Once baggage claim is complete and you are ready at the designated ground transportation area, contacting dispatch ensures accurate pickup instructions.

Shared ride passengers may experience brief waiting periods based on scheduling and vehicle availability. Private car service provides direct transportation to campus or nearby residences, hotels, and offices.

For students and visitors to Fairfield University, the main pick-up and drop-off point is the Traffic Circle by the Barone Student Center on Loyola Drive, located in the heart of the campus. Pickup and drop-off can also be booked for Faber Hall. Door to Door Service is also available to other points in the area including hotels, homes and offices.
